Hello Friend!
I can’t believe it’s already March. It feels like 2026 is flying by already. I haven’t been up to much. I’ve been doing my best to balance applying for jobs while enjoying the downtime. I realized that, other than a short 6-month period in college, I’ve been almost consistently working since I was 14. While being unemployed is difficult, I’m doing what I can to take advantage of the time. Now, let’s jump into the next round of photos.
Day 22: March 1, 2026
Fletch and I made the trip north for our nephew’s second birthday. It ended up being a beautiful day for a drive, and we were so glad we could be there to celebrate his birthday.

Day 23: March 2, 2026
There have been brief moments of sunshine, for which the dogs have tried to take advantage of. Lemon’s favorite pastime is lying in the backyard, soaking up the rays.

Day 24: March 3, 2026
Being unemployed means discovering new hobbies (or re-finding old ones). I’ve gone down a rabbit hole of customizing my 3DS. I’ve discovered new (to me) games, and I’ve been having a ton of fun playing with my handheld gaming consoles and my Tamagotchis.

Day 25: March 4, 2026
I’ve been enjoying filling my time with job hunting, thrifting, and hobbies. Thrifting gets me out of the house. I enjoy seeing treasures once adored and imagining their stories. I like the idea of giving items that were once cherished a new life in my home.

Day 26: March 5, 2026
Speaking of secondhand finds, I found this Lady Lovely Locks doll at the Goodwill Bins! I both love and hate the bins. Chaos is the norm, and personal space does not exist. On the other hand, you have a chance to save something, like an 80s doll, from going to the landfill. So, pros and cons lol.

Day 27: March 6, 2026
Fletch has been super sweet and supportive of my new Pokémon card collection. We visited Graham Games to go through their bulk cards. It is both exciting and a little calming to look through large bulk cards. You get into a rhythm and zone out. It’s nice.

Day 28: March 7, 2026
I went to an awesome estate sale! I scored all of this from one estate sale. I think I am most excited about the Tweedle Dee Dee case because it was such a surprise. I went because I hoped to get a few of the Lady Lovely Locks dolls and the Care Bear Cousins plush. As you can see, success! Fletch and I got up early to make the treck north so we could be there about an hour before the opening. It was totally worth it.

Day 29: March 8, 2026
These are some of the vintage hair barretts I got at the estate sale. They were too cute to pass up.

Day 30: March 9, 2026
Fletch has been super-sweet and always checks the Pokémon machine to see if they have any stock. Most recently, he couldn’t locate the machine. I found it by the customer service desk with a message that it is out of order. Hopefully, it will be back up and running again soon (not that either of us ever finds it stocked).

Day 31: March 10, 2026
Before I lost my job, I had started an order with my personal shopper in Japan. I recently received my package, and I was very excited about my Pokémon items.

Day 32: March 11, 2026
Thrifting find! How cool is this vintage My Little Pony castle?

Day 33: March 12, 2026
Since I have the time, I was able to pick up this Littlest Pet Shop bundle for a friend. I am so glad I was able to help them grow their collection.

Day 34: March 13, 2026
Snow!! I couldn’t believe my eyes when I opened the door to snow. It didn’t last long, only a day, but it was fun for those 24 hrs.

Day 35: March 14, 2026
Fletch and I took a trip down to Vancouver, Washington for a toy sale. It was nice getting out and spending the entire day together. I managed to pick up a few Pokémon cards for my collection, and Fletch scored a new figure.

Day 36: March 15, 2026
Like I said, I’ve been enjoying spending quality time with my pups. Lily and I have enjoyed lots of cuddles.

Day 37: March 16, 2026
Another fun thrift trip. I didn’t find anything during this trip, but it is always nice to get out.
